Lady Eagles Dominate Salado Eagle Classic Tournament

The Salado Lady Eagles put together a commanding run at the Salado Eagle Classic Tournament, finishing undefeated and claiming the championship with four decisive wins.

Salado opened play Thursday morning with a 3–0 victory over Canyon Randall. Brinlee and Lucy both scored off assists from Kenadi, while Julia added a goal from Kenadi’s corner kick. Later that night, the Lady Eagles continued their momentum with a 4–0 shutout of Bay City. Izzy scored twice—once assisted by Kenadi and once by Cora—Julia finished a goal off Emily’s corner kick, and Emily converted a penalty kick.

On Friday afternoon, Salado defeated Waco University 3–1. Kenadi scored with an assist from Lucy, Lucy followed with a goal assisted by Catalina, and Julia once again capitalized on a corner kick from Kenadi.

The championship match Saturday afternoon showcased Salado’s depth and dominance in a 7–0 win over Del Valley. Goals came from Izzy (assisted by Kenadi), Avery, Mya (from Cora), Catalina, Lucy (from Kenadi), Julia, and Kenley, sealing a statement tournament title for the Salado Lady Eagles!

Another highlight to the tournament this weekend was Coach Goos winning his 400th game! That is quite an accomplishment and we are so proud of him and glad ti have him as our coach!!
