The Lady Eagle XC teams competed in the Vista Ridge Invitational on Friday, August 23. The varsity girls competed in the varsity 5A-6A division. The girls came out on top, with 97pts, against a competitive field of big school teams.
The Lady Eagle squad was led by junior, Cade Harris who ran the 5K course in a time 19:36, placing 7th. The rest of the flock finished close behind with McCall Boyd (13th, 20:00), Annalee Bryant (20th, 20:20), Hayden Griesemer (23rd, 20:22), Anna Redelsheimer (34th, 20:45), Penelope Anderson (43rd, 21:08), Sydney Engleking (49th, 21:18) , Addison King (22:15), Ally Ihler (23:10) & Zoie Adcox (24:39).
Lady Eagle JV team won the 1-4A JV division with 38pts.
Top medalist were: Emma Harrell - 2nd (13:38), Sofia Cadenas - 3rd (13:44), Isabela Brauchle - 10th (14:25), Blake Matthews - 12th (14:26) and Sydney Lange - 14th (14:39)
The rest of the team finished as follows: Selestte Hubbard 16th (14:54), Stephanie Zhang-Lee 22nd (15:30), Lorelai Reckefus 27th (15:45), Emma Terwilliger 30th (15:49), Lya Armijo 36th (16:00), Kaelynn Flores 41st (16:22), Ainsleigh Liebig 82nd (17:47) and Avery Smith 88th (18:14).
The Lady Eagles next competition will be the Pro-Fit Invitational at Wilson Park (Temple) on Friday, August 30.
