ACADEMY , TX- The Lady Eagles (37-7,12-0) took to the skies in a Bi-District match up with former district 23 foe, the Robinson Rockets. Salado would take the first set in a 25-16 win before a crushing 25-10 victory to take a commanding 2-0 set lead. The Lady Eagles got out to a slow start in set 3 before pulling away late 25-22 to sweep the Rockets in the first round of the 4A-DII Volleyball playoffs.

Salado flexed its muscles as a team with all five hitters finishing with 7+ kills and a team hitting percentage of .356%. Macy Morris would lead the team with an impressive 7 of the teams' 15 blocks on the night. It was a great match defensively for the Lady Eagles as well who passed a 2.02 average and totaled 55 digs, led by Shelby Hollywood (2.67/9) and Haley Brown (2.33/7).

Salado is back in action on Thursday night at Taylor High School where they'll take on the Caldwell Hornets in the Area Round. First serve is scheduled for 6:00pm.
